GET OUT & STAY OUT!

The biggest story coming out of Nebraska right now has to be the story of a 25 year-old school teacher running away to Mexico with a 12 year-old student. This took place in Lexington, NE, known for its meat packing plants and Meixcan residents. The student is an illegal who was brough over by his mother & people are making a big deal over the fact that the boy was caught and will not be allowed to ever come back over to the U.S. or to apply for legal citizenship. I don't see why people view this as a bad thing. People who come over here illegally and get caught should be deported and put on a list of VIOLATORS & never be allowed to reapply for citizenship.
There are plenty of people wanting in our country who will do it the legal way. I've heard all the B.S. about the devestation this will have on our economy & that illegals are doing the jobs Americans don't want to do. Thats B.S. The only reason they have the jobs they do, is b/c employers can get lots of hard physical labor out of them for little to nothing! When those illegals are doprted, the employers are going to have no choice but to increase the pay for their work- American citizens are screwing themselves out of money if anything. And if there is a need for more workers, then a partnership program needs to be set up between the homeless shelters & unemployement centers b/c there are tons of people out there who could use a job. That or offer to relocate all the unemployed in Northern Michigan!
So I am a hardliner when it comes to immigration. That's b/c I have seen the injustices suffered by American citizens first hand. The thing that has pushed me over the edge on this issue, is illegal's paying in-state prices for their college educations & getting large scholarships, while my parents have busted their asses to pay my way through college! There is a legal way to citizenship & thats the only way! We need more ICE raids, so that we can get them out and keep them out!

P.S. We need to abolish all laws granting citizenship to the children of illegals born in this country- ANCHOR BABY LAWS!

Who I am now supporting & why!

Well after much consideration & much much research, I have decided to support former Senator Fred Thompson. With Senator Brownback being my first choice, I looked for a candidate that was similar on the issues I hold key! Thompson is pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, pro-growth, and more of a fiscal & social conservative- which is what I'm looking for. So best of luck Fred & I will keep up on my blogging- not only about Fred, but about all political news!

A Sad Day in American Politics

As many of you have probably heard, Senator Brownback will be holding a press conference today in Topeka to announce that he will be dropping out of the 2008 Presidential Race!

Sam Brownback is a remarkable man & a truly caring man. He was out to better America, no to advance the Repulican Party agenda. Lets hope that some of these Rhinos that are running as Republicans & Conservatives will be wise enough to consider Brownback for a Vice Presidential nomination.

Now that Brownback has dropped from the race, I will support the person I feel is most like him & will also be hoping that Brownback can get a V.P. nomination. There is probably only one candidate that could nominate Brownback for V.P. & that candidate is Giuliani- there is no possible way I could support him! So I wish the best for Brownbacks future political campaign & will be looking forward to any future runs

Johanns for U.S. Senate 2008

I am very glad to throw my support behind former Nebraska Governor & U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns in his bid for U.S. Senate.

Thankfully, we Nebraskans will no longer have to suffer under the reign of Senator Chuck Hagel & we have a great leader like Mike Johanns running to better represent us. We must band together and on May 13th go to the polls & elect Mike Johanns as our next U.S. Senator.

The other two candidates for U.S. Senate, Pat Flynn & Jon Brunning, are both good men and great Republicans, but I have chosen to support the candidate I feel is most qualified!

I'm Back & More Opinionated Than Ever

After 6 months of working on Senator Brownback's Presidential campaign in Iowa, I have returned to Nebraska and have resumed my blogging. So watch out liberals, democrats, and rhino's.

Senator Sam Brownback is the only true fiscal & social conservative running & as Conservatives & Republicans, we should stand behind this man- regardless of "electability" & "popularity". The other thing we need in a President, is someone who will work to better this country and not someone who just wants to advance party agenda's. An example of Brownback being just this, is his frequent work in foreign policy- Darfur, Beruma- and also his frequent bi-partisan efforts with Senator Joe Biden & Barbra Boxer on a solution in Iraq.

Conservatives need to be cautious of other candidates who call themselves fiscal & social conservatives. In this 2008 election we have several snakes running. We have several candidates to be cautious of, but here are 2. The first is pro-choice, pro-same sex marriage, and changes his stances on key issues as much as the wind changes direction. Yes, this candidate was governor of a liberal state and would have to be more "understanding" to liberal ideas, but shouldn't we be worried that he was so well liked in such a liberal state? This candidate CAN NOT BE TRUSTED, unless you can buy him off! The 2nd candidate, raised more taxes as Governor, than Governor Clinton. He rides on the title of being a minister and a man of faith, which is very appealing to evangelicals. I urge voters to look into this mans past and records before supporting him. This candidate had assistance at the Iowa straw poll from a special interest group that wants to raise our already high taxes by 30% (which they won't come out and say)- this taxation applies to ALL, including churches & our federal government. When a 30% tax increase is applied to our federal government & they go to buy a million dollar tank, where do you think they're going to get the money to pay that extra 30%?? Hmmm? Lastly, just recently this candidate made the remark that any of his contenders who have raised thousands of dollars, but have not moved in the polls, should be sitting in a bath of warm water with razor blades. Suicide is NEVER funny & any candidate who thinks so, especially a minister/ man of faith, should be rejected and forced from the race. Here is a link to the video footage of Mike Huckabee joking about suicide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-2Sb7dFsvM . And now he came out saying that the joke was not about suicide. Hmm, what else does one do in a tub of warm water with razor blades? Maybe he was suggesting some of these males candidates needed to shave their legs? I am sickened by Huckabee!

Well i have been holding in so much for 6 months, so stay tuned for more ramblings from this Nebraska Republican!

FACEBOOK GROUPS

Facebook is a great social networking system, especially for politics. For all of you Facebook junkies, like myself, there are tons of suport groups for Senator Brownback and even specific State support groups. Please check them out, join them, and invite your friends to join!

UPDATE AND CHANGE OF HEART

For anyone who has read my previous posts, you may have seen my support for Nebraska Republican Sentor Chuck Hagel as a 2008 Presidential Candidate. That was clear back in Decemeber and January, back when he was still a Republican, but I no long support him or care to claim him as my State Senator, but my only other option is Ben Nelson (D). And I sure has heck would hate to see him run for president. As a Nebraskan, I feel let down and betrayed by Senator Hagels recent disapproval of the war, which he fully supported, and his frequent attacks towards President Bush and calling for his resignation. Senator Hagel is not a Republican and he as sure as hell is NOT A NEBRASKAN!
For the next few months, starting tomorrow, I will be working on Senator Sam Brownback (R) of Kansas' Presidential Campaign. I am "stationed" in Des Moines, Iowa and will be helping spread the word on how great of a guy Senator Brownback is and how we really need a TRUE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN elected as our next President! So check back daily, i'll try my hardest to update my blog and please give me feedback!

Injustice Sucks!

So the question was just asked of me: "how did i become so interested in political science and how did i choose that as my major in college?" Well my response was that i believe that our government should be representative of it's people and that when the people of a city, state, country, nation, etc have a problem, the government should be the ones to work with the people to solve the problem. It's in my human nature to want to help people, especially those that are misrepresented.
WOW, this is a really naive perception of todays government. I've seen so many injustices in todays society that i almost makes me sick... how can we disregard the lawsor make exceptions for people who put the life of another at risk and still live with ourselves?? What i am rambling about is this; (1) friend in jail, misrepresnted in court, denied certain rights in jail, etc (2) while friend was in court, his sentencing/punishment harsher than others who committed worse crimes (3) State Legislater disregarding the people of Nebraska and their vote to repeal a law!
My friend "Bob" was arrested for burglary. There were 3-4 other people involved. These people started breaking into place while my friend was still in Marine boot camp and all had previous run-ins with the law. Well one of the people (a girl) was only forced to pay bail and do community service. 2 others are getting off really easy. "Bob" is being persacuted hard-core, being pinned as the ring leader of the crimes, and taking all the heat! His lawyer (poor excuse for one) was a state appointed lawyer and didn't feel it important to meet with his client, show up to cases, or try b/c he was not getting paid what he wanted. The judges know my friend has never committed previous crimes... but find it acceptable to be hard on "Bob". The family and friends (including myself) have began to lose all trust in our judicial system. I think something needs to be changed here....... read number 2 for more!!
While "Bob" went to hearings, etc... he was not the only person being tried in the court room. One case was a lady who had tested positive for meth (or other drug) and so did this lady's child/baby. The lady was given a light sentence (i think fine(s), probation, community service, rehab) but was also allowed to get her child back. My friend is now serving about 10 years in prison!! How can a drug addict who endangered her childs life get off with a "slap on the wrist" and my friend who only stole some items (not saying that is acceptable) serve a long prison sentence. Does this seem like fair, equal justice? I DON'T!!
The Nebraska State Legislature passed a bill requiring all class 1 schools (k-6, etc... which i attended) to MANDATORILY consolidate with a K-12 school. The class 1 school i attended was absorbed by the Class A neighboring school. Well in the November 2006 elections, Nebraskans voted to REPEAL this law. Well since many schools already consolidated, the legislature doesn't know how to handle how to turn these schools back to class 1 schools on their own. The head/chair of the education committee says "tough, too late" and "just b/c Nebraskans voted to repeal the law, doesn't mean it goes into affect". There is another issue with a larger city school district. He has met with many senators, school board members, citizens, etc to solve this problem. Well "just b/c i met with them, doesn't mean i'm going to accept or consider the proposals or work to resolve the issue in their favor!" Is this the kind of people we want in our state legislatures, representing us? Especially as the head of the education committee, HELL NO! The people of Nebraska have voted to repeal this "oppressive" bill, the senators should respect our vote and take the neccesary actions!!
These are only a few examples of the injustices i see and have seen daily. This sickens me that such things could occur. It pisses me off and makes me lose respect and trust in not only our local and state govt, but our national! This is why i am studying political science....... I HOPE TO CORRECT THE INJUSTICES OF OUR CURRENT GOVERNMENT and to TRULY SERVE THE CONSTITUENTS I'M ELECTED TO SERVE. Sadly, i'm only 2o (almost 21) and still college, so i can't yet serve, but this will not change the reason i am studying political science and this will always effect the way i make decisions in govt./politics!
Hope this has pissed you off as much as it did me and i hope you will share with me your feelings and stories.
